Readyverse- Your home in the Ready Player One Universe

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Readyverse is a hub world for a number of game experiences. In it you can invite your frients to your hub, talk in game, launch directly into other games and display rewards and unlocks from those games.

For this title I was Lead Game Developer and in addition to setting the technical direction and managing 5 developers I was responsible for a number of core game features including:

  • UI/UX Implementation using Unreal Widgets
  • Character implementation using Animation Blueprints
  • Some game-play networking using blueprints
  • Defined chunking schema for delivering content efficiently to the game post launch
  • Animation setup using Runtime Retargeting
  • Updated the project to use world partition environments

This was the largest project I’ve completed in Unreal 5 to date, as well as the largest team I have managed. The launched successfully to closed beta in April 2025.
